The weekend of 22nd/23rd July was a busy one for Christchurch Rotary. On the Saturday a number of brave souls took on the pouring rain to help with marshalling at the Christchurch Music Festival. Were they downhearted ? … No !!! … at times they were even “…singing & dancing in the rain …” !

Those of us who weren’t there salute you !

By the Sunday the rain had dried up, although the wind was still blowing fiercely when the Club ventured out again to run our promotional stall at the RNLI’s Blue Light Day at Mudeford Quay – hold on tight to that gazebo, folks ! During the afternoon we were even getting some sunshine, so we’re not sure whether the red faces some of us had by the end of the day were down to sun burn, wind burn or embarrassment at being photographed with Stormy Stan, the RNLI mascot!

It was a great turnout & we had some useful conversations with members of the public.
