A Wonderful Finale to Our Fifth Year
As Christmas Eve drew to a close, so too did another joyous season of the Christchurch Living Advent Calendar (CLAC).
For 24 magical nights throughout December, Christchurch once again came together to celebrate local creativity, community spirit, and charitable giving.
Held nightly from 1st to 24th December, each pop-up performance spotlighted talented local musicians, choirs, dancers and entertainers — all generously giving their time to support worthy causes across our area. Audiences enjoyed every moment free of charge, while making valued donations to a different charity each evening.
This year marked a special milestone — five years of CLAC in Christchurch. Since launching in 2021, thanks to the Rotary Club adopting this wonderful idea first created in Stockholm back in 2005, the event has now raised over £100,000 for local charities. That includes around £20,000 every year, achieved through the incredible support of those who perform, attend, and give.

- Our talented performers — who fill our town with festive cheer
- Our venues and hosts — who kindly provide spaces and facilities at no cost
- Our amazing audiences — who come out night after night to join the celebrations.
This year’s closing performance took place in Saxon Square on Christmas Eve, wrapping up a month of unforgettable community moments. It was the perfect way to end a season that once again highlighted the best of Christchurch — warm-hearted generosity, a passion for local talent, and a commitment to helping others.
We are enormously proud of what CLAC has achieved so far and truly grateful for every single person who played a part in making this year such a success.
