Christchurch Rotary & Waitrose:
A Staggering Success for Our Community!
We are absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible generosity shown during our recent food collection at Waitrose! Our Rotarians were out in force on Saturday, and the response from the Christchurch community was nothing short of “exceptional.”
Together, we managed to collect:
- 1235kg of food (filling 42 melon boxes!)
- £35.17 in cash donations
Making a Real Difference
These donations arrived at the perfect time. Tracy Blick, Manager of Christchurch Food Bank+, shared that these supplies have already been used to refill shelves for School Holiday family bags and other vital projects.
One kind shopper even reached out to say:
“What a fantastic idea to have a big collection in Waitrose today, the gentlemen collecting were very kind, look forward to seeing them there again soon.”
The Power of Partnership
A huge thank you to Claire Moseley and the management team at Waitrose for their ongoing support and for facilitating this drive. Whether it was a tin of beans or a cash donation, every bit helps the Food Bank+ provide hardship assistance, debt advice, and school holiday hunger support across Dorset.
