Christchurch Rotary Dinner about Town

Wednesday 16th September 2026

at Restaurant Locations in Christchurch Town Centre.

How it Works

Experience the town’s finest flavours in one unforgettable evening.

Dinner About Town is a “progressive dinner” where the location changes with every course. Here is how your evening will unfold:

Select Your Menu

To ensure the evening is tailored to your taste, the menu selection process works in two stages:

  • Your Menu Options (Released in July): In July, we will send all ticket holders the exclusive event menus. You will be able to choose your preferred dish for each course from a curated selection of three starters, three main courses (featuring a meat, fish, and vegetarian option), and three desserts.
  • Confirm Your Choices (By 15th August): We ask that you return your specific food choices as soon as possible, and no later than 15th August. This allows our partner restaurants to prepare your meals in advance so they are ready to be served as soon as you are settled at your table, ensuring the entire evening flows smoothly. Don’t worry about forgetting what you ordered; we will send you a reminder of your choices closer to the date and provide them to you again at the event.

The Evening Experience

  • The Grand Opening: Your night begins on 16th September at our exclusive Champagne Reception. Enjoy a chilled glass of fizz and delicious canapés while meeting your fellow diners and the Christchurch Rotary team.
  • The Dining Trail: At the reception, you will receive your “Dining Passport.” This reveals your unique route for the evening. You won’t eat at just one restaurant; you’ll enjoy a different course at a different premier Christchurch venue.
  • A Stroll Between Courses: Part of the magic is the movement! Enjoy a short, leisurely stroll through our historic town centre as you move from your starter to your main course, and finally to your dessert.
  • Great Food for Great Causes: As you enjoy the hospitality of our four partner restaurants, you’ll be supporting Parkinson’s UK and local Rotary good causes.

 Important Notes

  • Dietary Requirements & Allergies: Clear allergy information will be provided alongside the menus in July. However, because our partner restaurants are catering for a large number of guests simultaneously using a specifically managed set menu, diners with complex or multiple dietary intolerances should consider carefully before booking. The nature of a multi-venue progressive dinner means we cannot guarantee the same level of bespoke menu tailoring as a standard reservation.
  • Travel Between Venues: While the schedule allows ample time for a comfortable stroll between restaurants, diners are responsible for ensuring they arrive at their next venue in time for the scheduled course. This ensures that the service remains on track for all guests and the restaurants can provide the best possible experience.
